Is the cost of food included in my purchase of an in home cooking class or private chefz dinner?
No. Due to customizable menus and diet restrictions there is no way to accurately pre-determine the cost of food. The chefz will help plan your menu and provide you with a detailed ingredient list. If however, you would like to the chefz to shop for you, you can purchase an additional hour of their time and reimburse chefz for the ingredients at the time of the cook date based upon the receipt they provide.

How is ChefzTable.com different from a Meal Prep/Dinner Club Center (e.g. Dream Dinners, Supper Supers)?
At ChefzTable.com, our Chefz come directly to you. You don't need to drive anywhere! Our dedicated and qualified Chefz will design a menu for you and your guest that is based on their diet and special needs whether it’s for an in-home cooking class or a personal chef service.

Does cooking always take place in my home?
Yes, we come to you at your convenience. Our Chefz will cook in the safety of your own kitchen. Our Chefz will bring the fresh ingredients* for your meals along with their own pots, pans and utensils and prepare your entrees on site. At the end of the day, our Chefz will leave your kitchen clean and filled with aroma of good home cooking. However some Chefz will teach (cooking class only) in a different location other that your home if you are more comfortable with that. This will be determined during the Chefz consult period. *Ingredients provided only in personal chef service.

What is the difference between a personal chef and a private chef?
A private chef is an employee, employed by one individual or a family on a full-time basis, who often lives in with the family and prepares up to 3 meals a day. A personal chef is a small business owner who serves several clients, usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are customized for each client’s requests and requirements. These meals are packaged and stored so the clients may enjoy them at their leisure.

What does a client of ChefzTable.com look like?
Anyone can use ChefzTable.com to accomplish their culinary goals. Our clients range from Two-Income families with children, people with food allergies, baby boomers becoming senior boomers, people on medically required diets, people who follow specific programs like Weight Watchers, the Zone, or South Beach, Dual Income families with no kids, professional clients (married or single) who entertain business associates and clients in their homes for business dinners, Empty nesters.

What are your Chefz' qualifications?
Our Chefz are credentialed professional chefs, retired executive chefs, sous chefs, and pastry chefs or honors culinary students.

What if I don’t like my Chefz?
If, after the Chefz consult period, you do not think the chef is a good match for you, contact ChefzTable.com and we will match you with another Chefz of your choice.

Are there a minimum number of classes/entrée for which I have to commit and how long is each class?
No, we do not have any long-term contracts. The minimum amount of time for each class is up to 3 hours depending on class chosen. For Personal Chefz Service it depends on how many entrée’s will be prepared – this can be from 2- 5 hours. The Chefz will prepare entrées and side dishes from scratch. Our Chefz will work around your schedule or situation.

I’ll be home, can I watch?
This applies only to the Personal Chefz Service (for cooking classes you will be a participant in the process). Yes – you are welcome to come in and visit with the Chefz for a short period of time but after that they will need to be in command of the kitchen in order to complete the job you’ve hired them to do.

Do I heat the food?
Yes, all entrée’s that will be stored for you in your freezer should be defrosted overnight in your refrigerator and then heated so you can enjoy them at the peak of their flavor. Your Chefz will be leaving you easy to follow heating instructions for each entrée.

How much freezer space will I need?
This depends on the number of meals you request and the size of the containers, but our entrée’s do generally require a considerable amount of freezer space.

What type of side dishes do you prepare?
Our Chefz will prepare side dishes that will complete the entrée’s you have selected.

Why does the cost seem to be about the same that I would pay for an entrée at a restaurant?
Why is that? What’s the difference? The difference with ChefzTable.com Personal Chefz is the personalized service and convenience in using a personal chef. Our fees represent all of the components that make up a professional personal chef service. From determining likes/dislikes, food allergies, customizing recipes to reflect your wants and requests, submitting meal selections for your approval, doing grocery shopping, and coming to your home to prepare your entrée’s in the safety of your kitchen, in addition to packaging, labeling, and storing of your entrée’s for future consumption.

Do I pay in advance of each cooking date?
Yes, it is customary to pay for the service in advance of your cooking date. To pay for an additional service please go to the book a course section of ChefzTable.com If you are interested in using the same Chefz for future engagements we can implement a recurring billing for that Chefz – please contact ChefzTable.com under the contact us link.

How long do I have to wait to get the requested Chefz?
Once you have booked a Chefz from ChefzTable.com the Chefz will contact you within 48 hours. The Chefz will then call you for an introduction, get directions to your home and establish a menu that works for you.

How long will the food last us?
Depending on how many entrée’s you order and how many evenings you eat at home, our Chefz can determine how long your meals will last. If you travel for business, entertain in restaurants during the week, or just enjoy eating out on occasion, the meals will take you further than if you eat them each night. The beauty of the service is that it can adjust to your busy lifestyle without putting any pressure on you.

What geographical areas do you service?
We will have Chefz available in all 50 states. If you are in an area that we currently don’t have a Chefz please send an email to support@chefztable.com and when Chefz become available in your area we will let you know.

Do you accept major credit cards?
Yes. Once your Chefz has accepted the cooking class/personal chef service, you will receive an email directing you back to ChefzTable.com to input your credit card information on our secure site. Your credit card information will not be stored.

How do I get started?
First you must register on the site (Membership is Free) then you can get started one of two ways:

1. Choose your cooking course or personal chef service and enter your zip code to find the Chefz in your area that matched your criteria.
2. Choose your Chefz from a zip code look up and book a course or personal chef service that they provide.

Can your Chefz help me with a special diet I’m on?
Of Course – many of our Chefz can help teach you to cook according to whatever your dietary needs are or when doing a personal chef service they can customize each entrée to your special dietary needs.

Do your chef’s have a Safe Food handlers Certification?
Yes – we require all Personal Chefz and Cooking Chefz to have their Safe Food Handler Certification (also called food sanitation card). The Certification proved that the Chef has taken and passed a locally or nationally recognized foodservice sanitation course.

What is your Cancellation Policy?
ChefzTable.com requires a 5 day notice to any change in the cook date for cooking class or personal chef service for a refund. A $50 change date fee will apply. If a Chefz shows up to your house and you are not there, left town, etc with no word to the Chefz or ChefzTable.com there will be no refund. There is no guarantee that you will be able to re-book with your original Chefz in a timely manner – it may take a week or two to get your original Chefz.
